Well it looks like our time has finally come. Last time we had a hurricane hit us was Georges. Now we have this catagory 5 Ivan barreling down on us here on the coast.
I still maintain my ONLINE LIVE POLICE scanner for the Ms gulf coast. Provided we don't lose A/C power here, and our T circuits remain up we should be fine.

Primary agencies are in Jackson County, which will get a serious amount of this storm, seeing how the track is bringing it straight up Mobile ALA and Jackson County border's the ms-al state line. So you can expect to hear a lot of civil defense traffic.
I personally will be driving up north for the storm.
