Are you the paranoid type? Do you have lots of tp-link IoT devices on your home network?

I'd say a large majority of consumers don't ever change their router passwords unless they are forced to do so, which is a big part of the problem in these cases too. That having been said I just bought a new TP-Link router a few weeks before this story hit, but haven't set it up yet. I'm pondering now whether to sell it off on eBay and go in another direction or just go ahead and set it up.

I'm ashamed to admit I bought three TP-Link network switches, one managed. I'm starting to replace them with Cisco units (for what that's worth). I'll keep the TP-Link crap for backups.

Like I always say it doesn't matter what brand it is or what country it comes from if it connects to the global internet in anyway it can be hacked period. That goes for anything that connects to the internet period routers, cameras, iot devices, and the whole slew of stuff.

We already give away access freely if u own a cellphone you already gave away all your rights, so don't worry about a router and stuff.

What do you think the so called cloud? That's is just a fancy covert word to cover up NSA, DEA, COPS, and all the others. Why do we have the so called AI stuff because it's programmed by the so called cloud lol.

I use to tell my wacked paranoid roomates that said don't buy stuff from china or russia spying on them there not coming for you if you don't live there. Worry about the country you live in because they can come for you anytime.

Every country does it rather you think it or not. Again they use a friendly covert word maybe it's cloud or whatever the want to make up. I mean really it's just data collection on a mass scale, but hey it betters are life right i mean we in USA atleast are too damn lazy to get of the coach so we tell google and apple to do it lol.

And just to be honest about it I own a cellphone, security cams, iot devices, wifi lights, and all the other things. Guess what china listens too me all day every day, and I don't give a hoot :)
