Arlington area help, Please!

OK I just got a PRO-95 and I don't know where to begin. I live in Arlington and have had a scanner before but it was not a trunk-tracking unit. I'm not sure what to assign where. All this "text tag", "group id", "talk group", "id code", "motorola v/s EDACS", "open & closed mode", etc...and so on... has my head spinning. I downloaded the Win95 application and ordered the 2-way cable (it hasn't arrived yet). It all seems a bit complicated at this point. Is there anyone in the Arlington area that can give me some pointers on what freqs to store where. Trunking is GREEK to me! I'm interested in PD, fire, careflight, detectives - things like that. As well as anything interesting you guys might know about. Any tips you have would be great! I am anxious to set this baby up.

Yes, I did get setup. I'm still collecting frequencies to add to my regular scanning banks. I'm looking for SkyMed, emergency medical and the likes. I do have Arlington public service trunked system.
