I am receiving Control Channel info on 852.8875 with rubber duck antenna in Superior WI. Info is showing State of Minn (SID: 040Fh-0506). I am not hearing any talkgroups (ID Search) and I know that this freq is a CC for the Anoka site. It has been very, very windy here but could this be skip or possibly the start of some ARMER in the Duluth area. I will keep an eye on it the next couple of days.

The duluth area ARMER system should be on-line, so you are not hearing any skip at all!

The system was going on-line about the same time that Washington Counties System was going on-line at the end of Feb/early part of March.

My understanding is that all statewide talkgroups, of course, will be accessable on the system so start listening to the L, S, E, and F-TAC's.

You should hear some MN DOT talkgroups also coming up for testing very soon also.

Have fun listening!

Only TG so far (just listening on Monday morning) was some ENC traffic on ID: 40 (system tech's per database). I missed which frequency those transmissions were on though, but at least it shows someone is working on the system. Neat to see ARMER up north.

Just an update since my posts in March. There has been alot of ENC system tech transmissions on ID: 40 and also alot of ENC on ID: 700 (couldn't find this one in the database though). The only other talk groups heard in the last two months was some ENC traffic on ID: 116 (BCA Tac 5 from DB) and, actually some voice transmissions yesterday on ID: 2298 (which shows Health East Dakota Co Dispatch). Not sure why that TG would have been heard off of the Duluth site but it was (did hear units 43, 44, 45 go en route, arrive destination, etc...dispatch told one to post St. Paul). As far as additional frequencies I did hear them briefly putting control channel data on the following:852.4625,853.050,853.3875, 852.3875, and 851.9375). For a brief time this morning CC info was on 853.3875 but that was only for a couple of minutes and it is now back on 852.8875. Anyway, I thought I would pass it on, I have been keeping an ear to changes and tg's heard but it is still early on up here from the sounds of it. There may have been more times of activity but I just don't listen too often. Thanks

That is the HealthEast BLS dispatch and matches what you heard. I'm amazed you heard it in Duluth. I suppose it is remotely possible that a BLS rig made a transfer up there.

Is there anyone else in the Duluth area monitoring CC info? I set my bcd396t to search and store last night (Sat) while I was at work and when I checked it this morning four new TG were logged (I forget actual numbers but three were in the 30000 range and the other was in the 3000 range). While they did not match any of the TEST tgid's in the DB they would fit in that range. I am just wondering if these ID's were actual or false hits (I think there have been some false ID's showing up). I will hook up the radio to a logger to see if they show up again but wanted to see if anyone was listening.

Was 38818 one of the ones you had? I picked this up on Metro tower 101 for about 2 days in mid April, seemed to be a roaming radio or a test patch to monitor a new system. It seemed to be a Law Enforcement dispatch channel. I never was able to copy a unique enough address to pin point the location. They did seem to run all vehicle/dl checks on the main dispatch channel.

Thanks for the reply. The TG's are as follows: 39348, 36709, 36711, 3914. Wasn't here to hear them though, hopefully I will be able to figure them out if they are real or just false readouts. Have a good day
