• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hello guys, we have one more day to try to get to our last round-up total. We've got 49 states, 10 Canadian provinces and 39 countries with Morocco just today before we shut down. We need Hawaii for the sweep!
We are working 20 and 40 meter only around 7.250 +/- or 14.250 +/- from approximately 2:30 pm ET when us elmers are getting the rig warmed up and tuned in. We have to put the antennas up every day and take them down every night. The students get there about 3:30 pm ET and they jump right in.
Our call is N4SMS, Schofield Middle School Ham Radio Club, Aiken SC. If you happen to be tooling around 20 or 40 meters today, give us a listen, unless we have already worked you - and if we have - Thank You Very Much!!!
