We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

We are having a school club round-up for the Schofield Middle School Radio Club in Aiken, SC, N4SMS. These middle schoolers are having the time of their life contacting the HFers out there. The round-up has been going on all week from 2pm to approximately 7pm eastern. So far they have made lots of contacts. We elmers get the rigs warmed up for the students who get there at 3:30pm (imagine that!). We have two more days this week.

If you have a spare second or two, give a listen to 20 meters, 40 meters and today we should have two HF rigs going and the second one should be on 75/80 meters. A contact would be most appreciated (especially from Hawaii and Alaska).

Above all have have patience, and most of all HAVE FUN!
