arsonal fire freq active??

I had entered this freq months ago from one of the many out of date lists I just heard arsonal traffic on this warning of lightening strikes

who uses it there?

Im hearing air survey people unit 91??

It's used for fire & misc. ops (wildlife tours). The other freq. used = 148.900 is for PD etc.

must be Fed fire I assume? what county is it in?

It hasn't been active for many years. They have wildlife tours there, that I've heard are great, Bald Eagles, etc. I would guess that it's Adams county.

Arsenal fire freq. active

I spent three years as a dispatcher at RMA. Channel 1 was used by both Fire and Police. USF&W had their own channel, as did various contractors. Dispatch was able to utilize all channels as required. During severe weather warnings, for example, Dispatch would alert all personnel in the field via radio and pager, and a air raid-type siren was also used, if required. As more cleanup projects are finished, the contractor channel assignments will change. South Adams County Fire Dept. will assume fire protection for the Arsenal, possibly later this year (Sept. ?), and Adams County Sheriffs Dept. will have some law enforcment involvment also, this being due to the Army having a reduced presence as more of the Arsenal is turned over to USF&W, resulting in the Army fire and police being reduced. The Arsenal is closer to becoming a wildlife refugee and will be operated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife. I have a channel plan somewhere, and if you would like, I can post it when I find it. Arsenal Fire Freq. active?

Hi everyone, sorry I was gone for so long. This is the channel plan as used by the Arsenal. Keep in mind that this was what was used at the time of me being RIF'd in late 2004. I don't believe that the radio system itself has been changed much, but some channels might not be used anymore due to phasing down of cleanup activities. Also, due to a question that was sent via e-mail, this is NOT Rocky Flats, but Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Different facilities.

Channel's 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 13, and 15 are repeater channels. Channel's 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 14, and 16 are simplex channels. Channel's 11 and 12 are simplex aux. channels. Also, there are Motorola XTS 2500 Model III radio's that are used for mutual aid with neighboring police and fire units who are on the state DTRS. The Arsenal does NOT have any talk groups on this system. Hope this helps.
