Hey all,

Doing a little visiting in Colorado and have a question about Jefferson County. In the Westminster / Arvada public safety trunked system, I don't see a talk group ID for Arvada Fire Dispatch. I only have the non trunked frequency. Does anyone know the ID for AFD dispatch?

Thanks,

-Austin

AFD is not yet on the Westy/Arvada system. They are only testing at this time. The UHF freqs are the best way to hear them. Or, if you are programming in the Lakewood/Wheat Ridge system, there is a TG for AFD's dispatch channel on that system.

Hope this helps and hope you enjoy your stay in Colorado!

Arvada Fire is still on the convential 453.150, and the FG 453.550. They been working on going on the EDACS system the last 2-3 months but no idea when the switch will be..They been testing on EDACS on 06-043 (0803)TAC 3 and 06-044 (0804) TAC 4. Hope this helps.

Arvada fire primary is currently operating on 06-021 patched to 08-013 this evening and appears that the EDACS side is primary with a fixed base to UHF patch on 453.150.

They have also been paging stations on EDACS in the same fashion used by Aurora Fire.

Yep. Stations etc get tones via I-Call.

At least the horrible two tone paging on UHF is gone.

We are so glad those loud tones are gone. At Pridemark we kept AFD radios very quiet until the tones were quiet, otherwise they'd be heard for miles. It wasn't a very good tone to voice volume ratio.

i00816 looks like a dispatch TGID rather than a Station I-Call TGID. On the unidens, it displays the TGID's involved in the call in a alternating manner on the display.
I had a feeling once I came up with "useful" information it wouldn't be "useful" at all! lol...can anyone confirm the correct I-Calls for each station?

These are the I-Call TG's I've logged so far, i10598, i10601, i10602, i10603, i10604 and i10605. (most of them last night some time) Sorry I havent been able to tie them to their stations yet. With i10600 thats 7 of 8. I'll go out on a limb and take a guess....(of course I have been wrong before ;)).. i10599 is our missing link, and say that the pieces all fall in numerical order. So in summary it looks like (or might look like) this so far....

Sta. 1 (i10598)??
Sta. 2 (i10599)??
Sta. 3 i10600
Sta. 4 i10601
Sta. 5 i10602
Sta. 6 i10603
Sta. 7 (i10604)??
Sta. 8 (i10605)??

-jfab ya got station 4 did'nt ya?- sorry didnt mean to make you mad.
-hey chris, did PPS upgrade their LPE's and Orions for the WR ESK or what did they end up doing there?

Looks good there SnoopyII, all we have to do now is find out what fire ground ch they might use next, still think 06-021(0785) is going to be the main dispatch ch.

Yeah, I like 06-021/785 as a main dispatch channel, atleast that what going into the orion for now, thats a great question on the FG channels. I have the two listed in the DB in the radio, but have yet to hear anything on them....what we need is a good old fashioned S/F.

The two that are listed in DB are there TAC ch(during there testing phase) so i presume that the Ch's should be between 0785 thru 804, that would be my guess..And of course i have'nt heard anything from there old UHF freqs.
