The closest frequency for any type of waste companies was Waste Management
They have a frequency licensed in Canton, but nothing for the Asheville area.
They have other frequencies for Gastonia (Gaston Co.) and Granite Quarry (Rowan Co.)
The Canton frequency is as follows:
463.775 Mhz.
Call Sign is: WNHT-396
Under license search enter "Waste Management Holding" there you will find the other frequencies and call
signs.
I know the waste trucks that come through were I work do not have any antennas on the trucks except maybe a AM/FM radio antenna.
I have never seen the drivers carrying a portable radio. All I have seen them carry is a cell phone to call dispatched to let them know they have
been stopped for being over weight.
