Good morning, new to this thread and scanners in general. I have a question. I have a Uniden bearcat BC355N. While I lived in Billerica I was able to pick up Billerica PD (483.0875) as well as the house of corrections (851.5500) crystal clear both with the standard stock antenna. I recently moved to lowell and neither would come in at all. I went out and bought the radio shack 800 MHz antenna thinking maybe it just needed a little boost, even though it is just the next town over, but this does not work either. I have tried different locations in the house and nothing. What am I doing wrong and what else can I try to make these come in?
