I'm ready to ship the BC15 back.

Can some kind soul give me step by step instructions on programing a trunked system, PLEASE!

I've entered the freqs., entered the ID numbers, made groups, made sites, for 4 days now.

It will not work using SCAN ID's It will work in the search mode.

I've read everything I can find. I have to be doing something wrong.

Thanks before I go crazy.

Which of the sites is closest to your location, start there, make sure you can hear the control channel.

Yes I can hear the frequency 859.7375 using ID SEARCH but not ID SCAN.

I also have
860.7375
860.7125
860.7350
860.9625
860.9825

Plus about 8 ID numbers.

I really think your best bet is getting the Premium Subscription and some software to program the scanner
If it's set correctly for trunking you shouldn't hear the control channel at all.

K1MRI, let's start with this...(anything blue and/or underlined is a link)

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/BCT15

Our wiki article has lots of stuff on the BCT15; most important is the 'Easier to Read' manual link in the related pages section. Much better than the Uniden offering.

Down the page a bit you will see links for BcTool and FreeScan. These are freeware tools that have the ability to connect to the database and download data. If you go for BcTool, be sure to get the latest beta from the Yahoo group (which can be found a bit further down the page).

Finally to get a paid subscription;

http://www.radioreference.com/apps/subscription/

You have a few other possible sources of files. Both of those packages can import what are referred to as .usd files. This is the data format for the Uniden Advanced System Director software, or UASD. You can ask for them in the Mass. forum, Scan Cape Cod has a forum devoted to programming files, or there even might be some in the BCT15 Yahoo groups.

Scan Cape Cod's forum link is here;

I see you have 3 threads started on this subject. In one of them you say "OK my BCT15 is working fine". Does this mean you are no longer having this problem?
