If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hi, Hope all is well.

Have an Ateargo repeater at a radio repeater site. Ever since April 1st this year 12 plus rma radio started missing daily autotest. Now the number of rma units missing test has risen to 26.

I have tried to swap out the Ateargo repeater, removing the original connected duplexor, trying different mast cables at the same/similar radio frequency. However I cannot find the problem and/or solution.

At best so far, If I have a mast cable to the RX port of the repeater and a 2nd mast cable to the tx port of the same Ateargo repeater, it reduces the missing test unit report to 8-9 units for same Customer.

PSU replaced Dec 2024 and battery 13v recently replaced as well in original Ateargo repeater.

Kenwood Ateargo missing several rma alarm signals ever since April 1st, 2025-Any advice appreciated please? Thank you. All worked fine until 31/3/25.

Connected to mast antennae via a duplexor ( used for send./receives signals at same time). Tried removing the duplexor, did not make much of a difference.
24 missing rma alarm signals without duplexor, 26 with duplexor.
Ran SWR bird watt meter model 43 on the mast antennae and outgoing power 4.8-5watts & reflected power 0.2/0.3 watts.
Replaced battery recently 13v and same with power supply last Dec '24 13v too. Fan is working fine.
Appreciate any feedback please as under lot of pressure from largest alarm customer? Thank you.
