Athens-Clarke manhunt

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the massive amount of open federal VHF going on in Athens right now with the man hunt for the cop killer.
FBI has a mobile comms post set up or did yesterday anyways. You have ATF, FBI, US Marshals, USSS, GBI, GSP, and about 20 local agencies. City of Doraville has their swat and K-9 out, Snellville PD, Gwinnett SO, and many more.
They are using a patch from state band to a talk group on the ACC system and the feds are talking digital but unencrypted on several common federal VHF freq's.

I'm a member of the news media covering the search on the ground here in Clarke county. What are the VHF federal frequencies we were hearing quite a bit on the athens Clarke system tg 1776 that was a patch but this morning they pulled it because of interference. Any help would be great!

The patch was just a patch to state band car/car so all involved could use VHF. The ATF was using a VHF simplex as was FBI. GBI has ACCPD programmed into their radios....as do most troopers.
The USMS Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force uses an open VHF in simplex. The city of Doraville was using the Dekalb County 800mhz simplex talk around in analog mode which is 854.63750,

I will not post the federal freq's while an active manhunt is underway, but if you know how to use your scanner and have a decent VHF antenna you will find them.
Again these are in simplex so you will need to be close.

\scan the UGA police SRT and/or EVENT talk group. This was patched to the manhunt VHF repeater...not sure if it still.

From what I've seen on the news, the suspect has been located and the situation is now just a standoff. I hope this can end peacefully.
