Atlanta TRS Rebanding

While monitoring Atlanta Fire this morning, I overheard one of the units inform the dispatcher that they had to report to the radio shop to "have their radio reprogrammed". Does anyone know if the City of Atlanta is in the process of rebanding the DTRS?

I doubt it Mike. They are already in the 857Mhz portion of the band. Maybe some new TGID's?

Is the database correct for this system? It shows 854-857 MHz channels, but the linked license is all 851.x and 852.x. Do they use both sets, or is one mobile data or something similar?

Doug - that is precisely why I asked the original question. When I heard the radio traffic about re-programming radios, I looked at their licenses and noticed the frequencies in the 851 range.

Was out and about today, and heard the Atl system quite well. Didn't notice any different frequencies being used.
