If I am not mistaken Atlantic Air 1 is dispatched out by Cencom in Summit. I was wondering
what frequency they are dispatched on? I know they talk to REMCS on NJSP Troop B Northstar Talkgroup. Anyone have the info? Thanks!

They are usually paged out on CenCom MED-10 - 462.975, PL 173.8. They then will talk to CenCom on MED-1 - 463.000 base, 468.000 air DPL156.

whats the reason they are using a DPL? I had all my Med Channel info for Cencom set
to a PL. Anyone know where there transmitter is? Will I hear them on a portable in
Hopatcong which isnt too far from Netcong? Thanks!

I am getting word that they switched there operations to a different Med Channel, So if someone can start monitoring the med channels when they get a job, ( They are Paged Out on Cencom Med 10 ) Then try to monitor them on the med channels. Good luck if I hear anything on my end I'll post it.

I have it on good authority that Air 1 has gone to Med Channel 8. If some of all can plug in Med 8 (463.175) let's see what we come up with via a search the Med 1 tone they where using was DPL 156.

Thanks

So if I plug in these numbers with the PL - the only thing I will hear is Atlantic Air 1? Or will I be hearing other medic units on this channel as well?

Thanks,

Mike

Plug the numbers in and you will only hear Atlantic Air 1 based in Netcong NJ just off Route 80, Medic units are on different frequencies.

Anytime, I called Cencom this afternoon and spoke to one of there supervisors, He had no problem giving me the info to me I find those guys pretty cooperative, Most EMS communications centers are outstanding they even offered me a tour.

Take Care

I am not sure in the air but I think they use a cell phone ( Nextel ) Many medic units use the cell phone and speak directly to the docs that way.

im very close to Air-1's HQ so I can hear them on a portable with no problem. They have been refering to Medical Control alot and they say on the Medical Control Channel. I dont think its
a med channel but im not totally sure. As for it being nextel or cell I am not too sure about that cause CENCOM asked for a phone call ASAP and the pilot says it has to wait till they land. Hmm...
