I plan to go down there next week for a day or two and just wondering which frequencies in the VHF Marine band are most active in the AC area? Out of the several VHF Coast Guard frequencies, which ones are actually active? 157.100? 157.050? Sometimes I also see those large helicopters fly over the water down there, any idea which frequency(ies) they use?

You will probably get more USCG activity on the P25/LMR Nets
United States Coast Guard - The RadioReference Wiki

Most USCG have moved off of the VHF Marine, except for Interops :D
YMMV by Station, Vesell and Sector/District
