Atlantic City will be joining the County radio system within the next two months. I assume going encrypted? Money was put aside recently from the 55 million dollar bond deal Atlantic City recently did.

Not every LE agency on the system is encrypted so there may be hope. But who really know for sure.

ACPD

The stated purpose of the bond is to repay the deferred contribution to the employee pension system and back heath care insurance cost. The ordinance just made it to the mayor's desk and he has publicly questioned if this is the best way to repay the deferred expense. As of this moment he has not signed off on the ordinance.

Since the majority of Atlantic County PDs are already encrypted, I would put my money on AC doing the same. Those expensive Digital scanners will eventually be useless.
