does anyone know if Atlantic county is still using the EDACS system?

... not to my knowledge; I can't confirm that the system is entirely depreciated, but I can confirm that we're using the Harris P25 system in entirety, and our newer vehicles only have the new Harris P25 equipment, and the vhf for spen (... although I was told they're linking spen into the new system at times, which I have not heard at work, yet). I haven't heard anything on the edacs system since the swithover, and it's in a scanner in the office.

I was down in AC about a month ago, I had the system still programmed in my TRX-1 even though it was removed from the database. I logged absolutely no activity on that system. If what I was told by a contact was correct from a local PD, the remaining EDACS site was most recently used solely by Ocean City who have since migrated to the P25 system.

thank you, I still have it on all 3 of my scanners i will remove them, don't know what i will do for a hobby once all of NJ goes Encrypted...

OC left the Edacs system..P25 police is encrypted on Atl County...fire and ems on P25 but they do still use the old VHF freq and simulcast at times...everyone else in Atl Co is gone
