I in the NYS Businesses section of the DB there was an update for the above-mentioned company. Their business address is out of Goshen NY, and they seem to have a lot of security contracts in the Hudson Valley with private and government entities.

Looking at their channel listing is a little concerning though, it's a mixture of frequencies that are allocated for business, GMRS, and Public Safety. A few of the frequencies are licensed and used by a few local fire departments in the area.

Now I have seen some of their uniformed employees carrying those Baofeng BF-888s, and the list seems to coincide with the default programming of those radios.

In my area I have heard them on Ch7 462.725 (GMRS), and Ch 8 462.825 (IG/IK).

At another site I've also seen them with UV5Rs on 435.225 (HAM).

Has anyone else in the Hudson Valley area come across their usages on any of these frequencies?

Do you know if they work any sites in the NYC area? If so, I'd give a listen. Operating on the 440 MHz ham band is a nice touch. Anything goes! :ROFLMAO:

Some of the frequencies might have been present in the radios being examined for monitoring only.
If they held a GMRS license before the rules changed, then they are grandfathered in as long as they keep their license current.

Not a one of those frequencies are licenced to them. I'm guessing these are some Baofeng boys.

I do not know if they have any NYC accounts.
What’s interesting the site that I’ve seen them use the ham freq. The one guard there has his ham radio license. One would think that he would know better…

Radios they are using come pre-programmed with those frequencies.

I haven’t found any licenses under the company name or under the Presidents or VPs name.

Could be under one of the many leasing companies. Did not see any specific to Goshen though.
Maybe but these are Baofeng BF-888s that they are more then likely buying off Amazon

So that whole list is just miscelaneous frequencues in some guard's CCR and not actual licensed frequencies for Atlas Security???
Sounds about right, in my area I've heard them both on Ch 7 and Ch 8. Looks like they are buying these things off of Amazon and just using them right out of the box.
