Just curious, if anything like a decoder for OTA TV in the form of an ATSC decoder exists?
I'm not sure that I understand what you mean by a decoder?Just curious, if anything like a decoder for OTA TV in the form of an ATSC decoder exists?
Live...I don't think so, and you'd need a huge ssd drive to record a whole show at a 7 mhz sample rate and decode it with gnu radio... or ANY program to decode ATSC for the RSP1A?

Do you want to watch TV with your computer?
Do you want to see what the signal looks like as on a spectrum analyzer?
Do You want technical details about the transport stream?
The least expensive alternative is to use a Mediasonic converter box connected to the spare monitor.Yeah, just something to have on one of the monitors while I'm at the computer doing other things. They already have dongles out there that do it, I just figured some of our SDR's are BETTER than those cheaper ones (unless there is something different about them). So yes, to watch. Those units sold as TV tuners require software to run on the PC, I thought someone else had probably already had come up with an addon or program that did it.
