First of all, I would question whether he actually did the things he claims to have done. I've found that most people who claim to contact the federal goverment about a petty disagreement on the internet are usualyl lying to make themselves sound big and important.

And secondly, does he really thing that Reilly Hollingsworth gives are rat's about him, his complaint, this website, or anything taking place on it? Hahahaha. Thats funny.

And thirdly... OH NO!! Not the Yahoo Groups! Perish the thought, the site is doomed because he sent some people on an e-mail list a bunch of ranting BS that they probably just deleted without reading to begin with.

And fourthly (is that a word?): Why the hell would the ARRL give a crap?? Yea, I'm sure they put that right on the top docket. What do you think they are going to do? Wave an antenna at Lindsey and say "you're mean"? Oh no!!!!

I belong to SEVERAL scanner groups on Yahoo, and there hasn't been ANY post from him regarding ANY of this...

Just a little FYI...

Besides, even if there was...no one would pay much attention to him, anyway...

Yeah, I subscribe to r.r.s and a few other scanner newsgroups, and to be honest, I don't think any ranting would be noticed in there, if the feed I get is any indication of the signal to noise ratio the groups normally get..

Especially when all one needs to do is add an entry to a killfile..

As to reports being sent to Riley Hollingsworth, so... He is the enforcer for the Amateur Radio service, and only that because no one else wanted to do it. What does he, or the ARRL, have to do with this Internet Site? I guess, that goes back to the original question I had, what private information was revealed? :?

A few years back there was some guy in the newsgroups (alt.fire-service or something like that, and alt.radio.scanner and rec.radio.scanner) that used to talk a lot of crap. I believe his name was Kevin Lobocheski or something similar to that. I can't remember.

Mostly he got reported to his ISP for flaming people and running off at the mouth and lost access from a few ISPs as a result.

It can be traced back to this thread here, and the rant that I posted.

I was having a REALLY bad day due to some backwoods, redneck, militant unionists who think that are smart enough to provide "oversight input" as to what I can or cannot do on my job. arugh!!

The fact of the matter is, where I am employeed at, is top heavy with a bunch of old farts who need to retire because they are afraid of change and/or new technology. Just thinking about it makes me see red.

I really despise unions.

I worked in two Teamsters shops each with an "A" pay scale and a "B" payscale. My "A" scale union brothers were making twice as much as I was, and guess what, I could never ever hope to make it into the "A" scale pay bracket. Union Solidarity this and Union Solidarity that ... where is the solidarity in pay scales?? The only thing that any Union has done for me is hand me the short end of the stick. Oh, yeah. And take my money.

Sorry for yet another rant .. as you can see this is still a sore spot with me. :roll:

I thought that the subsequent posts, (the mimic of the three stoodges bit, which apperently only N_Jay was the one that got it), showed that the true nature of the rant to be pegged on the high side of the sarscatic scale, but not, your a dirty so-n-so insult.

DJ88 wanted me to offer an apology. I did not think that one was needed because by this point in time, again, I thought the context of the thread showed this was not a personal attack. This is the last sane PM that I received from DJ88:

My point actually was that it is not up to us, as members, to reply "your post doesn't belong here", "this question has already been asked a million times", "do a little leg work of your own before you ask a question" , etc., etc., etc. This is up to Lindsay if he has a problem with it. He keeps a close eye on this board, and when he isn't happy with something, he lets us all know. I have been here a long time and have seen it.

Also, sarcasm has no place here either. What's the point of it ? It serves no purpose. If your intention was to embarras the guy into looking before he posts, and drag other's posts into your comment, in front of all to see, that's totally wrong.

I'm an intelligent person, and from reading your posts, you seem to be one also. But there are people who post on these boards who don't seem to be too smart and have much common sense. As long as they don't make pests of themselves, or post absolutely ridiculous questions, let's just put up with it, give them an intelligent answer, and go to the next question. Or, if we choose we can ignore them. This isn't our board or our bandwidth space that is being wasted. It's Lindsay's and let's let him do the policing.

By the way, I sent the guy who asked the question about trunking a Private Message. I welcomed him to the site, told him not to let this incident chase him away, that 99% of the members are good people, and reminded him, in a nice way (no sarcasm) that it is a good idea to check the threads on this board before posting a question...that he may very well find that his question has been answered, and that if I could help him at any time he should feel free to email me. It really didn't take any effort at all to be nice.

I have no anomosity towards you at all. I just didn't like the way you went about making your point. If you don't feel an apology is necessary, then we are of two different minds. I feel that sarcasm does warrant one. Whether you do or not won't change anyone's life at all, includiing mine.

For some reason whilst this was going on with DJ88, KA2MEK jumped in, like a loose cannon, and started blasting me.

I have already deleted (in hind sight) most of the really good PM's that KA2MEK composed .. but this is a good example of his *achem* shall we say, stability? This PM from KA2MEK is in reply to a PM that I had sent to him:

There was a thread, since deleted, where I told the poster (who was ranting about ebay) to contact KA2MEK should the FBI or RCMP fail him because KA2MEK has connections at the CIA. For those of you who have been keeping score at home .. you now know why I posted what I did.

The post was in jest and I really did not ever intend it to be an attack, therefore I included an Emoticon. Boy was I wrong. After this confab flared up, it occured to me that we have a bunch of bozo's around here that do not know what Emoticons are for.

So I composed this dissertation: r u an idiot? Emoticons explained (at great length) to help bridge the gap. Of special note is elk2370bruce (a.k.a KA2MEK, DJ88, et al perhaps??) post:
