asurnin I have the same radio too and I haven't seen it as a global feature. I think it has to be set
under each object. Manually it would be a pain if you have a lot of objects but if you're using a software
such as PSREdt500 like I am, it would be a snap.
Personally I think the audio is already sufficient, no need for audio boost.
I've had this radio for two years and have never had an issue with volume- digital and analog. But this just made me curious. I've been using ARC 500, and will look around in there tomorrow...
I use audioboost on anything that has already been narrowbanded. Even with NFM mode, the narrowbanded frequencies tend to come in low. I use audioboost to attempt to bring it back to normal levels so that if I'm listening to digital and analog at the same time, my eardrums won't get blown out.
Ok to get to audio boost press manual on the cha.nel then press program then edit and press edit for the current. Scroll down till you see audio boost turn it on and save it. Also check owners manual for more details or contact your local radio shack store
I have used audio boost a few times on a station that is usually quite low on audio. It could have something to do with the repeater output. Audio boost works OK, except for the fact that there are time when the repeater seems to get louder on occasion.
