BCD396XT/BCD996XT: Audio dropout

While listening to the audio, about every second it dropout or goes silent for about 1/2 second then continues.
Any help would be great.

If you are scanning a conventional system it could be because you have a priority channel set and priority scanning enabled. The scanner checks for activity on the priority channel during transmission on a non priority channel and switches to the priority when it detects activity. The drops are when its checking the priority channel.
