Audio is cycling mute on every channel

No matter what channel I have scanned I have an interesting thing happening. For instance I have a local FM station on one of the memory settings, and I click HOLD on the channel, but I get this intermittent drop of audio, and it happens on any channel I am scanning, as if the unit is cycling somehow. Using it desktop, plugged into Commercial Power (AC power). Using several different antennas and it occurs with all of them.

Turn off Weather Priority or Close Call.

Or Channel Priority. For Close Call, you can also select Close Call DND and the sampling on active channels will be removed.

Question

If I set WX Priority on but set time to 0 sec, will that remove the problem and keep me alerted if a tone comes across my WX freq??

Shame on me for never posting my results. I turned off the WX Priority and the audio cycling (muting) stopped. Thanks to all who helped.
