All,

Here is my current Setup:

Windows 7
Realtek Audio Card.
Uniden 536HP
Null Modem to USB Adapter
Audio from external speaker jack to line input on computer

Proscan works great except the quality of the audio. The audio sounds bassy and hard to listen to, I have worked with all the settings with the audio card without any success. Has anyone else experienced this? We are using RSOIP to remotely listen to the scanner.

Thanks,

Steve

First go to the Windows Mixer and make sure you don't have any sound processing or enhancements on.

For a test, go to the ProScan Audio Control - Monitor & Test tab and set the loop back on for RSOIP. Listen to the audio on the server computer to see if the problem is on the server or client side. Most likely it's the server side sound card or scanner. Check the scanner audio out is not over driving the sound card by turning down the scanner volume. Ideally the volume control should be about 40%.
