hi, i replaced my old computer with a raspberry pi 3B+ the current build did not work, so i tried a pi 3B on Feed ID 9981 now the audio sounds terrible, i also cannot use alsamixer to adjust volume as it is froze it see's the usb sound card just can't change anything,
i'm also using a line loop isolator and various scanner's and cable combinations, to no avail.
the only thing that has changed was the pi and sound card.

Maybe the volume for the sound card is set too high on the pi? I set it to the lowest volume setting (6 I think it is). If it is a lot higher than that you will probably start getting poor audio.

But if alsamixer isn't working then you can't adjust that (unless there is another way to adjust the audio).

i tried to adjust the volume this way thru the gui but get this
pi@raspberrypi ~ $ startx
xauth: file /home/pi/.Xauthority does not exist
might have to build it from scratch?

hi, got the feed working again by a new usb sound card and using these instructions, Raspberry pi broadcastify build wiki page,
now alsamixer worked with the volume at 6 on the mic capture device.
thanks for those that PM'd me, you know who you are :)
