Audio Recording W/Screen Capture

Looking for audio recording software that will also capture the scanner talkgroup/frequency tags from scanner control software - anyone know of any software that will do this kind of thing ?

I'm not sure what you are looking for but I use arc250 with my 796D and the recording feature does put in either the freq or TG on each recording.

and there are many other similar programs. Your BC250 should work just fine with IDTracker, for example.

The system I'm scanning is Denver and I'm sure you have heard that Denver is now ESK enabled and that leaves my 250 useless. Also I have win500 connected to the scanner 24/7 to be able to stop the scanner from scanning remotely and therefore I can't use it and another application that accesses the scanner's data port.

If the ARC500 software does it, that doesn't work for me either - the software appears to require more memory than my machine has to offer as it hangs up and stops working. Of the list of software links provided on the wiki page, only one of them records both audio and screen capture but the screen capture quality isn't very good. Of course the better the quality, the more memory intensive it becomes.

Guess I'll just stick with recording audio unless someone knows of an application that will record audio and screen capture but isn't a resource hog and has good quality captures.

I use Idtracker with my 500 and 600 and works perfect. It does not write the new talkgroups to the scanner(but may be a new feature being added) but in the on screen log it shows any new talkgroups that have not been programed into the scanner and what TSYS(or system on the uniden scanners) it was on. And will record audio if you want. Oh and it is free

And I believe it can record anything on the screen...very handy.
