I was a participant in a special event station last week calling CQ for hours. Afterward my voice was fairly horse. It made me think that maybe an audio sampler with some stock phrases would same my voice some.

I was thinking maybe a pre recording of calling CQ, one with a 73 validiction and maybe a 59 report.

I think matching the mic impedance and working out a PTT trigger may seem the hardest part.

Thoughts?
Maybe it may make the exchange feel too synthetic and robotic. I have had difficulty finding others that have done the same.

There are countless others who have done the same. Every major contester in existence has used recordings at some point. My radios (Icom 7610/7300) have voice keyers built in, and I use them every single contest. You press a button on the radio (or external console) and it does exactly what you're looking to do.

Look up voice keyer. There are some pre-built ones out there, or you can build your own, of course.

Yea, it's built into the 7300 and up models. Also, depending on what logger software you have, if you have your sound card set up, N1MM can do it as well.

Nice. I just saw the mfj-434b and others. I saw Casler's video for the 7300. I'm impressed and know what I am looking for now. Thanks for the lesson.
