I have a BC785D and the audio on it is going down hill. I have it turn all the way up and have to be on top of it to hear it. I send it and and was told that there is not a thing that can be done about it. It is my main radio to listen to. My question is has someone out there had the same trouble with there audio and if so is it fix able.

The first thing I would try is to swap out the speaker. It is possible that the speaker itself is blown or just worn out.

I'm not sure of your soldering skills or how the current speaker is attached to the board, but it may be a fairly easy fix to try.
