AURORA, Colo. -- One person was killed and five others injured Tuesday night in a two-car crash on South Havana Street in Aurora.

According to police, a 1993 Honda Accord with three males was traveling southbound on Havana Street near East Florida Avenue and when a 2000 Toyota Corolla carrying three females heading northbound made a left turn in front of the Honda at about 9:10 p.m.

The Toyota was broadsided by the Honda, killing a female passenger in the Honda and sending three males and two females to the hospital.

Ages and identification of the dead and injured have not yet been released.

"Witnesses have come forward and identified the traffic signals for both vehicles were believed to be green," said Aurora Police Lt. John Sopranuk in a news release. " The investigators have not ruled out speed or alcohol as potential causal factors in the accident."
