There's another new 700Mhz P25 site in Travis County reporting SysID 200 WACN 92571 Connected. It's very loud in the northern part of the county and reports the following;

SysID: 200 WACN:92571 Zone 101, Site 1 on 769.44375

Neighbors:
Zone 102, Site 2, Control 773.05625, connected
Zone 113, Site 13, Control 770.96875, connected

None of these frequencies are in the CAPRAD database.

No voice channels and no talkgroups are reported.

The zone/site numbering scheme implies that this is an M/A-COM/Harris P25 system. I suspect that it is the LCRA 700 MHz overlay but I can't confirm that.

Russell,

I'm getting that frequency and same exact Site info at about a 90% signal from my front porch in San Marcos. Hooking up an out of band yagi I can tell this site is at least north of town, and probably a darn good chance it's here in Hays County.

Unfortunately my cables aren't at my house (one at work, one loaned to a Pro-96 friend- if'n he's reading this...) so I can't run any Unitrunker on this until tomorrow at the earliest.

Eric, is the LCRA implementing an overlay in South Texas? Do you have more details on the plans for this?

I know that San Antonio has received funding for a 700 MHz overlay, but last I heard from the SA project manager was they haven't even procured equipment yet.

This is very interesting... I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.

Lindsay,

From what I have read both SA and LCRA will be implementing a 700MHz overlay. This Project Data Worksheet from the AACOG website about explains it.

On the suggestion of another user I downloaded Pro96Com and have a little more information on the peers of Site 102:

Site 101 769.44375
Site 104 773.29375
Site 113 770.96875

All of these are showing only 1 channel connected. This appears to be in its infancy.

#11: Strategy from the pdf link above explains how San Antonio will be linked by 700MHz overlay to LCRA, which is linked through Austin/Travis County to HCRRS, ETMC, etc. (It's backwards connected but it might work). This should also include Corpus soon and eventually down to Laredo.

Also, we beat this horse around a little bit as this thread digressed last fall.

Here's a screenshot of the Data Dump from Site 02, though the information list the frequency as 853.03125 my scanner is clearly paused on 773.05625MHz.

I've got a good control channel here into North San Antonio on 773.8425

My decoding computer is down right now, however I'll gather some further data from this later once I get my stuff back up.

Someone also posted on the SatScan yahoo groups mailing list about new 900mhz LCRA licenses for a site at Riverwalk Mariott downtown. Maybe ultimately related?

Make that 773.84375 that I can receive here in San Antonio.

SysID 200 - Site 7

Huh. I was getting Site 7 info off of 765.7500 yesterday in north Comal County. The further south I drove the worse my signal got. See my comment in Post #13. I wonder if in the past 24 hours they have changed the CC on this site?

I'll be in Kyle, TX, later on today and will see if I'm getting a much better decode up there on Site 02- which I suspect is in North Hays or South Travis.

Yeah, I had a conflict over site 7, so I picked one. As you said, the CC may have changed. We need to run Trunker or Pro96Com on that site.

Also, this system will obviously be in a state of flux for awhile, so changes will be pretty frequent. You and Lindsay seem to be in the middle of a few sites, so you are going to be in a better position than me in Austin. Do you think they're using LCRA towers, as well?
