I'll be in Austin in early December for a family wedding. I already have the Austin Trunk system set up for ARC250 to program into my 296D. Is there any benefit to also programming in the conventional UHF frequencies that police, fire, and EMS currently use? IOW, do they currently cross patch?

They are still active for now. Don't know how much longer they will be up, but they are up now.
