auto storing wildcard Pro 106

Is there a setting to automatically store a new talkgroup wildcard without having to be there to press F3(store) when one is found?? I've come into my room too late to press store and it's gone,would love to have it automagically done.

No...the PSR-500 doesn't do it either. I have to use the Win500 software to do it, which isn't bad when I'm near my computer. But this isn't always the case.

I wish this feature could be added in a firmware update.

If you use WIN500 as your programming software, you can enable "Auto-create new TGRPs from Wildcard hits" under the Monitor / Control tab. Your computer and scanner must be connected and the computer needs to be "talking" to the scanner at the time.

More than likely, PSREdit also has such a utility available.

Mike has a check box to enable storing but apparently not working yet. ScanControl has it available also, but I couldn't find any storage location. ARC has no offering at this time.

Don is way ahead using this feature.

I have gone back through my manual for the PSR-600 (a sister to your Pro-106) and it appears that Auto-storing TGs from a Wildcard is a function of the software you are using, not built into the circuitry of the scanner. To store a TG captured by a Wildcard while mobile is strictly a manual procedure. Sorry.
