The speakers on my gadgets are arguably poor. So I like to route them to my car stereo aux in.

My Garmin GPS has a nice feature that when I use it to play MP3s it will auto mute the MP3 and give routing instructions when needed and then go right back to playing MP3s. I love this as I can listen to my music but when something comes up it I don't miss anything.

So I now have MP3s /audio books on my phone (GPS does not really hold that many), a Home Patrol 1, and a GPS that I would like to have different priorities over one another and send the audio to my car stereo aux in.

Anyone know of such a device that would allow this?

I realize it would need a bit of audio squelch trigger threshold. My Home Patrol 1 is a bit poppy during scanning with Line out audio. Oddly the built in speaker is dead quite until a signal comes in.

Even a kit would work. I can solder and know my way around most electronic components.

Thanks for any ideas
Scott
