Last night on the QA County TRS patch frq. (151.1300) I heard a station, "aviation services" conversing with Trooper2 about a landing site. I wasn't able to figure where the location was in Queen Anne's.
I've never heard this "aviation services" before on a MedEvac patch.
The audio quality was very good. Far superior to Syscom on 44.74

Any ideas?

Could it have been Delaware Trooper 2? I know that MSP provides MedEvac in southern Sussex County, DE if needed but I don't know about the other way around in northeast Queen Anne's.

They were at a rescue box last night. Command was divided up between the rescue scene and the landing site. The group you heard talking was the group in charge of the landing site.

From my location I can copy the primary dispatch channel but I never copy the tac (151.130)
Does this frequency not use a repeater?

The 151.130 frequency is not a repeater, however, simply not being a repeater doesn't mean that you should't hear it. It's a high-powered base station patched to the 800mhz system. It has the same characteristics of a repeater, it just doean't have an "input pair."

Baybum,

The 151.13 freq is only patched into the QA 800 system when a helo is involved or when grounds units without UES 800 capability are involved (such as in an MSP STATE Team operation about 1 year ago, when the freq was tied into a PD talkgroup)....at all other times, it is silent. From Northern Balt Co, I copy both the dispatch and the TG patch on 151.13 a full 5/5.

Almost every call I hear dispatched, I hear 'switch to TAC 2"...but I don't hear anything.
I have to go to Kent isl this afternoon and I'll see what happens while over there.

Thanks

Precisely. 151.085 only re-broadcasts the dispatch talkgroup - and nothing else. The TAC talkgroups are on the 800 system - you'd have to tune into the trunked system to get that....the exception is when an above-mentioned scenario leads to a temporary patch of 151.13 into a TAC talkgroup. What you are getting is what everyone else is getting off of the VHF freqs - nothing wrong with your radio.

150.78250 input for 154.1975 CH 1
158.87250 input for 155.1675 CH 2
155.99250 input for 154.2425 CH 3

You can also hear Queen Annes County broadcast on the input channels when they setup a patch with Kent County Maryland's VHF system.

I also receive Talbot County dispatch, which I believe is also on the Upper Shore Consortium TRS with QA. The signal is very strong. Isn't Caroline Co in this also? I only ocaasionaily hear them on 154.100 but it is very weak so it is not being rebroadcast.

Yes,Talbot and Caroline are on the UESC. Talbot comes in strong where you are at because they have an antenna for 159.015 in Stevensville to catch the bay areas such as Tilghman and Bozman. Caroline only has towers setup in Caroline County for 154.100.
