The new Avon Fire System and Proposed "Lorain County" System is on the air for testing. It is a Harris P25 II system installed by Cleveland Communication. The Call Sign is WRFG876 and the sites are the new water tower at Route 83 and Mills Road and Walker Road. I will post info as soon as the TG's come in!

So is it likely that all of Lorain County will eventually be on this system?

I was able to monitor the control channel this morning before work. Weird but dsdplus wouldn't decode anything. I was able to pull the following from pro96com. The NAC is 293h

Looks like it. There was a lot of fire chiefs speaking at today's Commissioner's meeting. You can find it on YouTube

With only 3 sites, it won't work.
All they have to do is talk to some of the chiefs in Medina Co. Lodi, Seville, and some others.

How about somebody getting the full system information and submitting it. I mean all freqs, RFSS, Site ID, peers/neighbors.

And if DSDPlus isn't decoding it all, you broke your DSDPlus.

Yet everything else decodes just fine.

As of now it's only for the 5 cities. Avon, Avon Lake, North Ridgeville (if approved by City Council on 12/20), Sheffield Lake, and Sheffield Village.

And you still broke your DSDPlus. There is nothing special about that system that DSDPlus wouldn't include it. You've got some setting turned on or something that shouldn't be.

Mike

Turns out not broken. Just can't decode P25 II out of SDR# works if I run FMP24 for phase 2 systems.

I didn't know you were using SDR#. FMP24/FMPP/FMA + DSDPlus linked has absolutely no issues. I would not expect SDR# + DSDplus to handle a P25 Simulcast system very well.

I was just parking on the CC to watch talk groups and messages which works for Phase I even simulcast

It would have to be Phase 2 if it's using 700 MHz channels.

Incorrect, there is no requirement for 700 MHz to use Phase II. Nearly all state-owned MARCS sites are using 700 MHz and are running Phase I.

Many new systems going on line these days are Phase II from the beginning, but this is more for future-proofing than anything else.

Mixed 700 / 800 systems frequently run in Phase 1 (or Phase 1 to accommodate older equipment, and Phase 2 for newer equipment - or Phase 1 for Fire and Phase 2 for police and services,) but pure 700 systems are supposed to be 6.25 equivalent by 2024 as the rule was relaxed a few years ago. Building out a new 700 system and not having it 6.25 compliant would be irresponsible. Note that our statewide 700 system runs primarily in Phase 2, but a few channels per site have DDM to accommodate older equipment for mutual aid purposes. New users who join the system must use Phase 2 subscribers.
