Ahhhh, thanks! Very informative! AWIN talkgroups 7201 to 7212 are labeled as EMS-A to EMS-L, but the acronym does NOT stand for Emergency Medical Services but rather Emergency Management Services. This notation should be changed in the group heading label in the RRDB display page. From the newsletter:
Q: Are the A-L EMS talkgroups for ambulance or medical services use?
A: No. In this case, EMS stands for “Emergency Management Services.” They are not for medical response or transport use unless designated for this purpose by ADEM or an incident commander.
Q: What do the letters A through L signify?
A: The talkgroups were originally created as emergency interoperability talkgroups for use by each of the Arkansas State Police troops, lettered A through L; however, with further development of the AWIN system and talkgroups, ASP has not had frequent cause to call upon the EMS talkgroups.
Q: Who assigns the EMS talkgroups and who can use them?
A: The A-L EMS talkgroups now serve as a supplement to the MAC 1-15 talkgroups and can be requested through ADEM.

Yes I sent this to a database admin so they could make the appropriate notes and changes to the AWIN section, thanks.

I noticed this morning that, while talk groups 7201 - 7212 had been broken out as A EmerMgt - L EmerMgt, the tags were still incorrectly classified as EMS-Tac. I created a new submission suggesting that the tags be reclassified as either Emergency Ops or as Interop.

Yes, anyone who is interested can get this newsletter emailed monthly.
Yep, AWIN, unlike other systems, is not that much super secret squirrelly. A lot of other states are more of the mindset: "Your not a user of the system, so you really have no need to know any details of whats going on." MSWIN, is more along the theme of: "You can read the minutes of our MWCC meeting a month or two after the meeting. Thats all you need to know unless your part of the "family"." The only one more transparent would be the IPSC who run the Indiana SAFE-T. They even put a lot of info about things on their FB page.
