I noticed when I get a transmission from Arkansas state police it will say troop c Jonesboro but the site will show combs or brightstar or delight and I know there's no way I can be picking up a signal from these areas so how do I know where I'm getting the signal from? Sometimes it will say lake city. I live around 4 miles south of Paragould

You have the AWIN set up for Control Chan Only trunking? And you can get ducting sometimes from the other sites all over the State. The TG's you could get any of them from anywhere due to the nature of how wide area TRS's are designed. As for actual sites, they use differing Control Chans, but do share Voice Chans around the state this is why use of CC Only is the way to go. On average you can pick up sites up to 30ish miles away from you with just an rubber duckie antenna. Much further away on an outdoor antenna.

Most likely these sites all have the same frequencies. Check the DB and see if that is the case.
