OK, I know, just what you wanted another damn forum to post in, but this one is unique. It's a place to post and discuss breaking news events as they happen in Arizona. It's brand new so don't expect much - yet. I'll start posting incidents tomorrow (9/8) as I hear them. If you've got an interest in breaking news events and would like to contribute, I invite you to come on by. The more contributors we have, the better it will be. And, the best part - unlike the other networks out there, this one is 100% free and always will be.

The forum is at: http://azincidentnet.proboards27.com/index.cgi

What are ya talking about? http://www.incidentpage.net can be a free service for anyone as long as they participate.

How hard is that? There's already enough rinky dink paging net's out there all ya gotta do is visit http://newscenter.ninn.org/

Either which way, good luck, and have fun. The media have a right to know as well as the people, now only if the media would cooperate and find all the frequencies on there own an get there managers to buy the appropriate scanners.

All they gotta do is a search online an they'll find the info. That's all.

Ahem... right.

Well #1, this is not a paging net. It's a discussion board. No one gets paged with a bunch of BS and no one gets charged money (either by their carrier or the service itself) for doing so.

#2, I'm not talking about IncidentPage or NINN or any of the other "freebie" services out there - they are nearly dead for AZ. I'm talking about these 2:

http://www.icp-az.org and http://www.apsn.us/

Both are very active paid incident paging groups. And again, since this is a discussion board, not a paging net, it's more of a supplement to these than competition for them.

I look at it this way - I've put it out there, if no one uses it then I've lost exactly what it cost to set it up - nothing. If it's useful however and people like it, I'll keep it going and improve upon it. It's up to AZ scanner listeners if they want to use it or not.
