I just heard the carrier on while there was activity on 46.46. It seams to be linked in some way with it. As if it's intended to be a cross band repeater but the audio isn't pached in.

The East Farmingdale channels are constant carrier up and down links from their low band transmitter on top of the water tank next to Adventure Land. Directional antenns and low power. They operate on their 482 mhz channels. The 453 mhz BCFA channels were set up to handle low band dead spots in the Deer Park district [1-4-0].

What is of the essence here is that for sixty or more years the FDs in Babylon have used 46.34 as there primary comm freq. and that is now changing. I think BCFA should be proud of how they managed all but 2 of the towns' departments radio traffic since I can remember.

yup
It might help if folks used the same terminology that the FCC uses

FB2 - a repeater - at a fixed location

MO3 - a repeater mounted on a vehicle - not at a fixed location

FX0 - link

FX2 - link from a fixed location to a FB2 - (maybe - not positive about this definition - I dont know if the FCC is positive about the definition either)

It sounds as if most of these listings are low power FB2

Its just too many variations of the same info. Was hoping for specific list for these x band/cross-band repeaters..
