Internet back up, but power still down. As a native Floridian I saw the eye of 3 hurricanes. With all the huge trees up here the damage is much worse. I am still digesting the things I see here in Dacusville, the crushed houses, the number of trees and power poles down. What a mess, but I will say one thing for small communities there was a big cardboard sign that said free water and food at the community center and they were not lying. A roach coach and a few other people with coolers habding out food. Got to love small town USA!

You guys got hit hard it looks like. I saw some news on the situation in Florida and one observer noted he never saw anything like that in all the years of being a Floridian.

Glad you're okay. Hope the damage was minimal.

I noted the following in the North Carolina subforum as it related to Broadcastify. Post-Helene Comms

I'm above the Travelers Rest speedway and have been out of power since 5:00am Friday. Our power lines come from the Greer area and there's still a lot of damage between there and here. I'm using a generator for power and my phone's Hotspot for internet. I've still got 10 gallons of gas, so good for operations after 6:00pm.

I saw some National Guard helicopters flying around yesterday. I wonder if that was my wife's President seeing all the damage.

I am in Dacusville about a mile from the Saluda river what a mess. they will be cutting trees up for weeks on Hunt's bridge. Today they have dozers pushing all the mud off the road. The national Guard is using the palmetto 800 system for storm responce here. I will look for the TG in a bit, I did not write it down.
