Well it looks like in person learning is back and the buses are rolling once again. I’ve been trying to find the best frequencies for first student Inc. which has a yard in Richmond but the frequencies I’ve tried are totally silent from what I can tell so far
151.775
462.8375
I looked up the frequencies and 151.775 is licensed for Richmond and Glennallen in Sonoma County. I’ve Heard that interesting conversations can be monitored between bus driver and base. Has anyone heard any activity on the frequencies above or any other frequencies for first student buses Inc.

While I’m on the other side of the country from you, you may want to try close call if your scanner supports it. I would go to somewhere near the base station and search the bands they could be in. Also there’s a chance they went encrypted or an LTE system instead of maintaining a VHF / UHF network across large parts of the state.
Hope it helps,
East

I have monitored school buses in the past and there are some interesting convos. In fact, sometimes they are the first to report traffic accidents in your town. Many school systems are now on DMR/NXDN trunked systems. There will be an investment into a scanner (TRX-1 I would suggest) and then some time searching various systems in order to find your local school bus. It can be fun to do if you have the time.
