Bad connection in selector knob

My selector knob gets worse by each day. It jumps two steps almost with each click and sometimes jumps one step back.

Does anyone know if it is easily accessable to inject some contact lube into it? The 536 scanner is just over 1 year old so I don't want to replace the controller each year if it can be fixed by some less costly way.

Try DeoxIT , I found this to the best for electronic dials, selectors and volume controls. This was the only thing that fixed my Pro-106 scratchy volume problem.
