Bakersfield Police New Dispatch channel

I have some info about the bakersfield police department that might interest you

The BPD now Have two dispatch channels in use insted of just one

bpd eastside disp channel 1

155.310 unknown input or pl tone

bpd westside disp channel 2

154.800 unknown input or pl tone

and there car to car radio traffic is on bpd's chanel four

bpd car to car channel 4

154.740 unknown input or pl tone

and like most of the bpd's radio it is conventental and not digatal, encrpted or trunked. This change was noticed my me here useing my radio shack pro-2052 and my rs pro-94 handheld scanners.

BPD has often "split" dispatch between east and west when it gets busy, especially Friday and Saturday nights. Are you sure it wasn't a temporary situation, or does it seem to be permanent?

From what i here on the various bpd channels its not temporary
and its about time that they did this:wink:
