I hearing what sounds like Balcones Heights PD on 152.535 - in addition to LTR "blips"

However, there are no FCC licenses assigned anywhere in Bexar County between 152.480 and 152.870

Did an SMR put up a new LTR trunked system?

It has a DCS tone of 546.

All the addresses are coming back in Balcones Heights.

I have Balcones Heights PD dispatch as 152.400 (546).
155.535 (156.7) is Channel 2.
155.910 (74.4) is the old dispatch. Have not heard anything here for a while.

I'm not sure where I got these, but they seem to be working. I have not heard any blips.

Balcones Heights is defintely on 152.535 ... no FCC license is assigned for that.

Rockag41, where did you get 152.400? There's no FCC license for that either.... very strange..

I'm actually hearing LTR blips on 152.400 as well... sounds like there is a new LTR system out - but I can't for the life of me find any assigned FCC licenses for either 152.40 or 152.535. Strange.

I agree, and was going to write the same thing. Mr Sherman of S&P Communications owns many blocks of freqs with FCC callsigns from WPVQ207 through WPVQ249 with the Part 22 paging band license.

Same thing in the DFW area with Mr Hopper of Megahertz Technology. If you enter one of the several freqs that operate in these Part 22 paging bands into the FCC website, all you will get is his block license information.

Balcones Heights Frequecies

Ok-everybody listen up...just kidding!

Anyway, my grandfather works over at BHPD, and they seem to be operating on a few different frequencies.

1. Balcones Fire (not Police-just to make sure): 154.995
2. Grey Forest Repeater (Now on Helotes): 158.780
3. Balcones Heights Police: xxx.xxx5-most older scanners (my PRO-2018 included) will not pick this up. They error out. I can't remember this one and I have no record of it since it doesn't work for me.
4. Unknown Repeater?:152.540-This one works great, but even my grandfather is not sure why. The ".540" is a little suspect. 540 was the badge number of fallen Balcones Heights Officer Richard "Scotty" Rogiers. If I am correct, this could be a small tribute to Scotty, but it could easily be a coincidence.
5. Old Dispatch-My grandfather reported that they were getting a lot of skip from local businesses in their general frequency range with this one, so it was cancelled.

My grandfather used radios for the family (one base station and one in every vehicle) for quite a while. He was KNHU318 (I think) on 154.540.
