Ballinafad and London East MOH

I was able to get the Ballinafad tower tonite for a few min. I heard on it a London East call. Hard to tell what it was but the EMS unit was calling London.

I cant see my scanner finding another tower using 142.605 in my area so I guess B-fad does carry London East units going to K/W?

Not to sure about this but London East is usually Oxford and Perth EMS. Could it possibly be Perth County EMS car in Listowel that you heard?

Naw. The scanner said it was aquiring Ballinafad. Normally I have trouble getting "B-fad." The escarpment blocks it out from my home here in Burlington. I first thought that the scanner just picked up the control channel but I did not notice that any other tower in the area used 142.605. I guess a Perth EMS car had to go into Waterloo Region and affiliated with B-fad. Maybe a transfer from Guelph back into London East? This is something I never heard before.

Sometimes they bounce strange (out of area) things off of towers usual for a unit in that area to hear that's affiliated, or at least this happens for OPP not sure of MOH. Ballinafad gets a lot of unusual traffic at times (good for us) but will make you scratch your head sometimes...

Ya. Its a wierd little tower. I can get it with a decent antenna at work but at home it is too noisy 99% of the time. I do know that there is a rehab hospital for addiction in Guelph. I could see any EMS unit from the GTA west sending patients there but normally out of area units switch to MOH 34976 or 35008.
