Folks,

I previously had the impression that a second incident in the Battalion-1 area would call for use of the 4- TGs (4-1, 4-2, etc)....but in looking at the radio plan chart in the database, it would appear that the 6- TGs would actually be the next choice. Which is correct?

Thanks much.

The 6 TGs would be used. The 4 TGs are used for a second incident in the 3rd battalion, while the 5 TGs would be used for a second incident in the 2nd Battlion.

BTW, I don't know if you know, but up until a few years ago there used to be 5 Battalions, hence the large number of TGs.

Another question relating to the radio plan.....we are certainly familiar w/ Fire-Police 99 (TG 1616)....the radio plan chart suggests an F-P 78 and an F-P 88....are these other PD-FD common talkgroups? Any idea of the corresponding IDs?

That chart plan is for the new digital radios BCoFD is slowly intergrating. I was the person who submitted that originally, and am also confused about the numbering. As the radios become a more common site around the County, I'll try to get my hands on one and find out the scoop. For now your guess is as good as mine.

Those are the new Police Fire Talk Channels instead of having just one they added 2 more incase an incident came about they would have more than 1 channel to inter coop on. And those were the 2 Tg's that were picked.
