We have ID 7888 as "Vice Narcotics" in the database.....but without additional identifiers, as with the other "VN" TGs. This morning, I heard units referring to this very TG as being the "WATF Channel"......can anyone advise further? Typically hear more general-sounding comms on this.....surveillance seems to usually occur on other TGs. We do have an entirely different TG for the warrant task force.

7888 and the other narcotics/specialized task force talkgroups are rather elusive. I never had a radio that had all the "secret" talkgroups like those in it, but the WATF may very well have several talkgroups assigned for their use. That could be a talkgroup that is shared by them and the vice narcotics unit.
