Does anyone have frequency information for the different news organizations in the area such as WJZ, WBAL, etc? I'm mostly interested in the frequencies used by the helos to communicate with the news room or their "dispatch" of sorts (not air traffic control frequencies). I've searched the database and old forum posts and can’t seem to find anything. Thanks in advance.

While I don't know their remote freqs, I do know that they frequently talk to one another on 123.025 - I've heard them there a great many times. This is also a SYSCOM channel, so don't be surprised if you hear that traffic there as well.

I haven't checked these freqs in a very long time, but I know that at least some of the remotes are in the 450 mhz range. Let me see if I can turn up the website - I'm pretty sure it's still linked on the Capitol Hill Monitors website (although my bet would be that most of those links have moved to NexHell, which is much harder to monitor)....73 Mike

[edit] Here we go - we're pretty much out of range to hear the stations locally, so we'd have to wait for an incident in our area...

Of course, you might suspect that the little duckie on the 396 isn't a very good antenna and you're right...a discone or ScanTenna is going to be a big help...

Great! I've got a discone on the roof, so not a problem there. Thanks for the quick response! I'll post again after some activity on these frequencies, and then maybe we can get them in the database. Thanks!
