Does anyone have the specific details about the OLD Baltimore City Fire Department VHF system, including channel numbers, frequencies, input frequencies, PLs, and even transmitter locations if possible? Any help is greatly appreciated!
If you click on the "call sign" (KGC 220) in the database it will bring up a list of coordinates. If you, then, select one of them it will bring up the locations of the towers.
Interesting to note that 154.37 is listed under the same callsign. Is this known to be used at all for FD activities? The remaining freqs are obviously active. http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?cs=kgc220
I don't think they use 154.37 anymore. As far back as I can remember (when there was no repeater on the 154 system and you had to switch back and forth between 154.31 and 154.07 in order to hear both sides of the transmission) all frequencies were assigned as KGC 220 with the exception of 154.07.
Okay, so I just read an old city VHF mobile and got the inputs, I'm confused... the frequency pairs for F2 and F7 are exact opposites. Must have made for some terrible fireground co-channel interference.
Speaking of the 1992 Central Maryland Station and Equipment Roster, does anyone know if a more up to date version has been published. I had an old one lying around here somewhere but darned if I can find it. This was an invaluable publication to keep on hand while monitoring and I miss it terribly.
Thanks
Dean
